One of the most important tasks for every bride-to-be is to find her best-fit dream wedding dress for her forthcoming big day. As a wedding guide with 16-year experience, I firmly believe every bride-to-be not only want to make herself look beautiful and charming during the ceremony, but also keeps balanced budget on wedding dress. However, as far as I know, not all the brides-to-be know how-to, which is an incentive for me to give you the following tips. Please have a look and you may find some of them useful.
- 1. When to start your wedding dress purchasing?
Giving yourself plenty of time to choose your dream & affordable wedding dress is very important. Rushing into a local wedding dress store several days before your big day is not a good idea. If so, you’d better get ready for some extra rush charges. My advice is to start shopping your wedding address 4 months before your wedding ceremony and place your order at least 2 month before that day. Therefore, you can take your time to try on or take remedial measures in case your wedding dress has flaws.
- 2. Save your money on wedding dress
If money is not an issue for you, please just skip this tip but I do believe most people need it. Moreover, the most expensive one is not always the best one. Many brides find wedding dresses in white or off-white works perfectly, and can be hundreds of dollars cheaper. As for the shopping place, beside local wedding dresses stores, there are thousands of them online at sample sales, TheThriftShopper, and ebay. It’s not uncommon to find one with different prices on those sites. - 5. Don’t forget to wash before wear.
Last but not least, please keep it in mind that the wear wedding dress you wear next to skin is made in workshop, not in bacteria-free operation room. Nevertheless, it goes though long journey before you getting it. You can well image what will happen to the 100% cotton thing that is prone to bacteria growth. For the sake of safety, do remember wash before wear!
